During the 5-day travel in Japan, we did encounter several nice and kind people, which added real fun to independent travel.
First is the Chinese lady in the first floor of the B&B. Because of the wrong direction, we lost our way upon stepping out of the subway station. We toured around without knowing the correct direction and with the luggage in our hands. At one point, we thought we were really close, because the landlady did mention a Family Mart in her guidance. However, little did we know that this Family Mart wasn't that Family Mart our landlady referred to. Thus, we wandered until Charming was brave enough to enter a women's wear shop and asked the lady in English. To our surprise, the lady was a Chinese so we could conmmuincate without any difficulty. What's better, we were actually in the first floor of the B&B. The Chinese lady took us to the front gate of the apartment, and even reminded us that we had to have the password to enter.
The second is a Japanese lady, named Mamei. On the second day, when we were at the Namba Station looking at the map for the restaurant we planed to have dinner, the lady came and asked us if we needed any help. She asked where we were bounded for and asked us to follow her. She told us that we had to go through the department store and went upstairs to reach our destination. On the way, she told us that one of her relatives was a Taiwanese, and that she could speak a little Chinese. We thanked her in Chinese, and she tried to reply, "You're welcome." in Chinese. What a kind lady!!
Although Heaven helps those who help themselves, I really have to admit that sometimes, heaven does help those who even can't help themselves,
